Camp Fun and Gains
TM
gives your child a rich camp
experience that builds confidence, skills and self-esteem.
We designed
language-based Camp Fun and GainsTM
specifically for children with mild to moderate difficulties in
communication, sensory and/or social skills, because we believe that
children deserve a summer of fun.
Our campers are more
confident by the end of summer because they can
¨
communicate more
effectively
¨
make friends more easily
¨
demonstrate teamwork and
cooperation
¨
listen better and follow
directions more specifically
Camp Fun and Gains

groups are taught by certified speech-language pathologists, special

campers
enjoy multi-sensory learning blended into fun and enriching summer

your child. Activities include:
Thematic language lessons
- to improve comprehension,
expression and reading skills through circle time, story time, and language
therapy activities.
Social
skills lessons
- to facilitate communicating,
sharing and problem solving which enable campers to strengthen and form new
friendships.
Physical
activities
- to strengthen gross motor skills, motor planning,
sequencing, attention and following directions. Activities like yoga,
gymnastics and sports instruction are taught in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Sensory
integration activities
- to improve social participation,
self-esteem, and motor skills, while having fun with sensory-enriched
activities.
Arts
and crafts activities
- to reinforce themed language
lessons, while improving fine motor and visual perceptual skills.
Music
and drama
- to enhance creative play,
imagination, and communication with activities like DIR/Floortime®,
