Speech and Language Therapy
In our fast-paced world, effective listening, speaking and communication skills are essential. At Princeton Speech-Language & Learning Center, we believe “one size fits all” approaches don’t work. We tailor our therapies to maximize each individual’s strengths and overcome his or her weaknesses.
All of our therapists are nationally certified speech-language pathologists. Speech-language pathologists are the only professionals qualified to assess, diagnose and treat:
Speech disorders. A speech disorder is when a person is unable to produce sounds correctly or fluently or has trouble with his or her voice. Examples include stuttering or difficulties producing certain sounds (articulation disorders).
Language disorders. A language disorder is when a person has trouble understanding others (receptive language) or has trouble sharing thoughts, ideas and feelings (expressive language).
Speech and language disorders can affect children and adults. While they can be the result of a medical condition such as a stroke, the cause is often not known.
