The learning plan is specifically tailored to the needs of each student and incorporates an appropriate and skillful mix of the following:
Tutoring services will be available at our center or in your home. Specific strategies are taught to enable students to incorporate strategies that directly pertain to their school curriculum and the world around them. Strategies to improve academic performance in written expression, mathematics, reading and the core curriculum include:
Dana L. Hice, M. Ed., LDTC, Learning Specialist, is a certified Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant and will offer educational consultation, evaluations, and tutoring. She has over twelve years of experience in the field of education. She has served in the role of regular education teacher, special education teacher, child study team member, and as a supervisor of student services. Ms. Hice has also conducted numerous professional development seminars for parents, teachers and staff members on various topics related to learning. She is highly experienced in utilizing remediation programs and specialized techniques and strategies to assist students in the areas of reading, writing, math, study and organization skills, test-taking and core curriculum content areas.
