We know that these last few months have had a direct impact on us all as we deal with the uncertainty that COVID-19 has brought into our lives. We understand that your day-to-day lives have been turned upside down with the new challenges of homeschooling, telecommuting, and all that comes from being locked down. Please know that we are here to help you in any way that we can.
As of Monday, March 23, 2020, all of our therapy sessions are being conducted through teletherapy. This is in a sincere effort to continue to provide for our clients the high quality speech-language and social communication services, executive functioning, and psychological sessions that they need in a safe and secure way.
We are also offering additional resources to support you as you navigate through these uncertain academic times. Fast ForWord and Cogmed are computer-based programs, geared for a wide range of ages, that aim to improve language, auditory processing, literacy skills, and working memory. We have a staff speech-language pathologist who is a certified dyslexia and Orton Gillingham therapist, which is a direct, multisensory, structured program for individuals who are challenged with learning reading, writing, and spelling. Tutors in elementary education, special education literacy and math, and high school language arts and history are also available through our practice. All of these services are offered remotely to stay within the CDC’s guidelines of distance learning.
We at PSLLC are committed to helping our clients get through this new set of circumstances we are now facing, and we look forward to the day when our office doors are once again open. Please be in touch to let us know how we can support your academic, speech-language, social communication, and psychological needs.
